Day by day
The plan
- Day 1Board at Kumbalam at midday and cruise through the Kochi backwaters to Kumarakom on Vembanad lake for the night.
- Day 2A village walk and kayaking in the small canals, then slowly into Kuttanad. The night at Pulincunnu.
- Day 3An early start for the best of the light, then the heart of Kuttanad by canoe. The night at Kavalam.
- Day 4Kainakary, the church at Champakulam, Nedumudy, Thottappally and Thrikkunnapuzha, reaching Kayamkulam by evening.
- Day 5An early cruise past Amritapuri, leaving the boat at Alumkadavu by late morning.
