The seafront and lighthouse at Pondicherry from above

14 days

All of Tamil Nadu

The Pallava shore, the Chola temples, Chettinad and French Pondicherry, in fourteen days.

All journeys

Tamil Nadu on its own, rather than a few days on the way to Kerala.

Fourteen days is long enough to take its history in order: the Pallava coast at Mamallapuram and Kanchipuram, the Nayak city of Madurai, the Chettiar villages, then the Chola towns along the river. Pondicherry comes last, a gentler place to finish.
