10 days
Holi in Rajasthan
Ten days planned around one festival day, spent with a family rather than at a party.
Holi follows the moon, so its date changes each year, usually falling in February or March.
The journey is planned around it: Shekhawati and its painted houses first, then Pushkar and Jaipur, and Holi itself spent with an Indian family rather than at a hotel event. Afterwards come Kalakho, the stepwell at Abhaneri, and Agra. It is best booked early, as the towns fill up.
